Chia Seed Pudding

Chia seeds are a nutritional powerhouse packed with health benefits. These tiny seeds are rich in fiber, helping to support digestion. They are high in omega-3 fatty acids, which support heart health by reducing inflammation and improving cholesterol levels. Additionally, chia seeds are an excellent source of plant-based protein and contain essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus, all of which contribute to bone health.

Chia pudding is a great way to reap the benefits of chia seeds, and it is easy to make.

Ingredients

– 1 cup milk (any milk of choice)
– 3 tbsp chia seeds
– 1 tbsp maple syrup, honey – or another sweetener of choice, to taste
– ½ tsp vanilla extract
– Optional toppings: fruit, nuts, granola, etc.

Directions

In a bowl or mason jar, mix the milk, vanilla extract, and sweetener (optional), until  thoroughly combined.

Add the chia seeds and stir to evenly distribute them in the mixture.

Let it sit for 5 minutes, then stir again or shake to prevent clumping.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or overnight, until the pudding thickens to your desired consistency.

Before serving, give it a stir and add your favorite toppings for extra flavor and texture.
