How to Make Homemade Dried Orange Slices

How to prepare the oranges

Choose oranges that are firm and ripe. Navel and Valencia oranges are good options.
Slice the oranges, with slices about 1/8″ thick.
Remove excess moisture. I like to lay them on a towel, which is eco-friendly and also does not leave behind pieces of paper.

Drying

Preheat the oven to 175°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the slices in a single layer.
Bake for several hours. Flip the slices regularly to help the process and ensure even drying.

How to Use Dried Orange Slices

Dried orange slices can be used in so many ways, and after they are used, you can put them in the compost.
