Dried orange slices are useful for a variety of projects, such as decor, wreaths, garlands, and more. This is a nice eco-friendly craft that is very sustainable, as you can simply compost the slices when you no longer want to use them.
How to prepare the oranges
Choose oranges that are firm and ripe. Navel and Valencia oranges are good options.
Slice the oranges, with slices about 1/8″ thick.
Remove excess moisture. I like to lay them on a towel, which is eco-friendly and also does not leave behind pieces of paper.
Drying
Preheat the oven to 175°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the slices in a single layer.
Bake for several hours. Flip the slices regularly to help the process and ensure even drying.

How to Use Dried Orange Slices
Dried orange slices can be used in so many ways, and after they are used, you can put them in the compost.
Decorations – fill a jar with slices, use as garlands, add to wreaths – so many possibilities!
Garnish – orange slices are a cute addition to a cake, cupcakes, on a drink, etc.
Pot pourri – make a mix of fresh, natural, aromatic ingredients to freshen your home.
Ooo I need to do this one day. I do enjoy oranges and this would be a fun addition to a drink.

I did this a couple of years ago to decorate our Christmas tree. I had no idea you could add them to a drink. I’ll have to try it.
