I always thought crinkle cookies were a complicated recipe, but it turns out they are fairly easy to make! I have made these with the kids many times, and they always come out looking great. The confectioners sugar on top makes the cookies look unique and festive. Here is the recipe we use!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup sugar (regular granulated)
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 cup all purpose or plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup confectioner’s sugar (for coating)
Directions:
Mix together the cocoa powder, sugar, and vegetable oil.
Beat the eggs, and then mix the eggs and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Mix thoroughly, then slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
Refrigerate the dough for 4+ hours, wrapped in plastic wrap.
Preheat oven to 350.
Roll tablespoons of dough into balls, then roll in confectioners sugar.
Place on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes.
The cookies will be soft when you take them out of the oven.
Allow to fully cool before serving.
